I AM JAZZ Community Book Reading and Discussion to be held at West Boulevard Library December 7

The critically acclaimed book, I Am Jazz – a children’s picture book by transgender teen and HRC Foundation Youth Ambassador Jazz Jennings and co-author, Jessica Herthel – was written to help people of all ages gain an understanding of transgender youth.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s West Boulevard location will host a reading of I Am Jazz on Thursday, December 7 from 4 to 5 p.m.. Following the reading there will be a panel discussion of parents and community members moderated by Time Out Youth and PFLAG Charlotte. The event is open to all ages.

This event is sponsored by Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, Time Out Youth, PFLAG Charlotte, Transcend Charlotte, Equality NC and HRC Charlotte, and is part of the third annual National I Am Jazz School and Community Readings taking place December 7.
