The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library  will be replacing the HVAC system at the Mint Hill Branch Library.

The Mint Hill Branch will be closed on Friday August 21 and Saturday August 22 while work crews deliver and install the new units.  These two days are the first part of a project that we anticipate taking 10 to 11 days total.

We expect to return to full services and operations on August 31.  Below is a snapshot of the impacts of this project and the changes in services during the project.

What to expect:

¨ The Mint Hill Library will be closed on August 21 & 22, but outside book returns will be open and checked regularly.

¨ The work crews will be working beyond normal library hours of operations and on Sundays to complete this project as quickly as possible.

¨ The Computer Learning Center will be closed from August 24 through August 29, because much of the re-working of the ducting will take place in this room.

¨ There will not be any programs from August 24 through August 29, because the Library's Community Room will act as on site storage and a base of operations for the work crews.

¨ The library will be open on August 28 & 29, but the HVAC system will only be working at 50% capacity, because the final installation will occur on these days and only half of our system will be operation during that part of the process
