Checkin.com Group’s software secures KJM accreditation for age verification in Germany
The software framework of Checkin.com Group (STO:CHECK), the tech company that changes how people all over the world checkin with services online, has secured accreditation from the respected German organ KJM (Kommission für Jugendmedienschutz). The accreditation confirms that the company’s software for automated age verification processes for comprehensive customer verification meet the rigid technical and legal standards in Germany. This confirms Checkin.com Group’s ability to help their customers sign-up more users at the same time as they stay compliant with local rules and legislation on multiple markets.
The German Commission for the Protection of Young People in the Media, KJM, has approved Checkin.com Group’s software as a suitable age verification system. As the Bundestag's authorised agency for the protection of German minors on the internet, one of the KJM’s tasks is to offer providers legal certainty by reviewing concepts and systems to check that they meet the technical requirements to satisfactorily perform age verification and identification by an automated process. Germany carries one of the world’s most stringent policies on age verification requirements.
The accreditation confirms Checkin.com Group’s offering to existing and future customers as it is a quality mark of the company’s ability to help them stay compliant in different markets from both a technical and legal point of view. The company provides identity and age verification using a combination of open banking technology and matching of user data with official records.
“This accreditation from the KJM showcases that our software not only helps our customers sign-up more users, but also helps them stay compliant on multiple markets. Being compliant on one or two markets is often manageable, but when executed on a larger scale it quickly gets very complicated. At Checkin.com we deliver a global, but locally adapted checkin solution for sign-up and identity, out of the box with one single integration. We are glad to help our customers convert more users and at the same time be an important part of their compliance work”, comments Alexey Kuznetsov Chief Product Officer and co-founder at Checkin.com Group.
