The Ultimate Napa Valley Social Gathering, CHEERS! St. Helena, Kicks-Off the 2012 Season on Friday, May 4

St. Helena, CA, April 16, 2012—Organizers for CHEERS! St. Helena (@CheersStHelena) today announced that the 2012 season of CHEERS! St. Helena begins Friday, May 4 and continues the 1st Friday of every month, May through October. CHEERS! St. Helena is the monthly social gathering of locals and visitors alike taking place on Main Street in St. Helena. This non-profit event features live music and culinary wine pairing experiences from local restaurants and wineries.

“We are thrilled to enter our fourth season of CHEERS!,” said Lance Orton, Director of CHEERS! St. Helena. “We just introduced a new VIP/Shop Local card, the season pass that gives attendees discounts and special offers for the entire CHEERS! St. Helena season.”

The CHEERS! VIP/Shop Local card is a season pass that gives locals access to all six CHEERS! events, the December CHEERS! to the Holidays, discounts at local merchants and restaurants, and free tastings at participating wineries. The CHEERS! St. Helena VIP/Shop Local card is available for $100 (with a total value of over $250) and can be purchased online at CheersStHelena.com.

This year’s CHEERS! St. Helena theme is “Celebrating the Restaurants of St. Helena.” The May 4th featured restaurant will be La Condesa, the new James Beard Award nominated modern Mexican restaurant located in the historic Keller Brothers Meats building in downtown St. Helena.

Restaurants to be featured at CHEERS! St. Helena 2012 includes:

“2012 really is the year of the restaurant in St. Helena,” said Pam Simpson, President and CEO of the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce. “We have three new restaurants, a new restaurant at Meadowood and numerous world-renowned chefs. CHEERS! St. Helena gives the community a chance to interact with these chefs one-on-one and get a taste of our vibrant culinary scene.”

CHEERS! St. Helena also offers a CHEERS! After Party from 8:30-10:00 p.m. featuring live music and local cocktails. The May 4th CHEERS! After Party will be held at the Odd Fellows Hall in Downtown St. Helena. After party tickets are $75 and all proceeds benefit the Celebrate St. Helena Downtown Renaissance.

General admission to CHEERS! St. Helena is free. Wine passes to taste top Napa Valley wines are available for purchase by anyone 21 or over for $35 and the CHEERS!
