Chemetall NAFTA Wins New Jersey’s State Environmental Stewardship Award
New Providence, NJ - The Chemetall New Providence site was awarded an environmental stewardship certificate in the areas of environmental policy, environmental management system, hazardous materials reduction, and materials conservation by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The certificate program is part of the state’s Environmental Stewardship Initiative to recognize companies for voluntary activities that go beyond compliance to achieve a sustainable environment and future.
Congratulations to the New Providence employees who made this possible through the development of more environmental friendly products and recycling. New Providence employees have voluntarily taken on waste recycling responsibilities to improve the environment. Additionally, implementation of site programs, such as the Management of Change policy, resulted in this award.
