Chemetall’s OXSILAN® Pretreatment Provides Significant Energy Savings

New Providence, NJ, June 24, 2011  Chemetall, an innovator in surface treatment, offers their OXSILAN® technology as a significant energy savings alternative to other metal pretreatments. OXSILAN reduces energy consumption by allowing processing to be done at ambient temperatures to eliminate the need for a heated bath solution. In addition, the environmentally friendly product does not require an activation or final seal stage and uses much less water than other methods. The reduction in stages and treatment time results in a direct savings of time, energy and associated costs. OXSILAN is easy to control automatically and is virtually sludge-free.

Chemetall’s OXSILAN uses the “Dual Coating” principle. This means that both an organic and an inorganic layer are deposited in the same stage. This robust dual coating gives the best performance possible from a non-phosphate process while being easy to operate.

“OXSILAN leads the industry in terms of energy savings, environmental responsibility, increased productivity and a level of quality that positively affects our customers’ bottom line,” said Julia Murray, Vice-President of Technical Marketing at Chemetall. “With Chemetall’s OXSILAN technology, we continue to fulfill the requirements of our customers in our dedication to service.”
