ChemImage Announces Distribution Agreement with XTEK Ltd.
PITTSBURGH, PA August 21, 2012 – ChemImage Corporation announced today, it has reached a distribution agreement with XTEK Ltd., to distribute ChemImage’s HSI Examiner™ product series in Australia. XTEK Ltd., is a leading provider of forensic science products for the law enforcement and laboratory communities in the Australasian Region.
“This agreement is another step for our company as we expand our reach in the international marketplace,” said Jim McGlone, President at ChemImage. “We look forward to working with XTEK to develop a strong presence in Australia.”
The HSI Examiner™ product series uses hyperspectral imaging (HSI) technology to non-destructively examine documents that are suspected of being fraudulent, forged, altered or counterfeit. Due to the sensitivity of HSI to differences in inks, the product series provides superior ink discrimination capabilities and speed over other systems available on the market. The HSI Examiner™ 200 QD, set to launch in August 2012, is equipped with enhanced hardware and software specifically designed for the examination of security features in banknotes, passports, visas, credit cards, tax stamps and other secure documents.
“This is excellent news and reinforces XTEK’s position as one of the Region’s premier suppliers of high-end forensic systems to the defence and law enforcement communities,” said Adrien Baldwin, Head of Sales and Marketing at XTEK.
