ChemImage to Hold a Forensic Webinar on Basics of Hyperspectral Imaging

PITTSBURGH, June 2, 2011 — Ever wonder what hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is or how it can be applied to forensic investigations? ChemImage Corporation, a leader in hyperspectral imaging technology, will host a webinar titled Hyperspectral Imaging Basics for Forensic Applications on June 14 at 10 a.m. ET.

In this one-hour webinar, Sara Nedley, a forensic scientist at ChemImage Corporation, will present a general overview of HSI and some of its forensic applications, including ink discrimination and body fluid visualization.  Ms. Nedley will also discuss: how this technique is especially well suited for challenging samples and substrates, as well as its many benefits in casework, research and method development.

A follow up webinar on improving HSI data quality with spectral processing is slated for September.
