Sparkling white Cabernet Sauvignon is a delicious rarity and Métier Brut Nature, an example from Radacini winery in Republic of Moldova, has been named the World's Best Cabernet at the prestigious “Concours International des Cabernets” competition in Anse, France. This award highlights the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of Moldovan wines on the international stage.

On May 28, a panel of professional sommeliers evaluated nearly 150 wines produced from Cabernet grapes. The competition awarded 47 Gold and Silver medals to wines from 17 countries. Fifteen of these were French and 32 were from other countries. Categories included Pure Cabernet Sauvignon, Pure Cabernet Franc, Predominantly Cabernet Franc, Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Blend of Cabernets, and Rosé Cabernets.

Radacini Métier Brut Nature stood out for its balance and refinement. The grand jury praised its bouquet with aromas of pear, yellow peach, citrus and elegant notes of freshly baked bread. Made as a white wine from red Cabernet Sauvignon grapes using the classic method perfected in Champagne, this sparkling wine demonstrates the Moldovan winemaker's expertise and commitment to quality, as well as the character of its terroir. This sparkling wine is also included in the lists of the best wines of other prestigious competitions, winning Gold medals at “Effervescents du Monde” 2023 in France and “Portugal Wine Trophy” 2023.

The title of “The World’s Best Cabernet 2024” for a wine from Moldova reaffirms the country’s commitment to excellence and the high standards of Moldovan wineries, and Radacini Wines in particular.

Over the past decade, Moldovan wines have garnered more than 6,700 international awards and recognitions, demonstrating an unwavering dedication to crafting exceptional wines. With a rich history and unique terroir, Moldovan wines have gained global recognition for their quality and taste. This success owes much to the establishment of Wine of Moldova as the national brand and its strategic efforts in promoting the country’s rich viticultural heritage.
