Minimum wage increases in the states

This week in small business, NFIB looks at state legislation increasing the minimum wage. So far in 2014, six states have hiked the minimum wage above the federal rate of $7.25 per hour. Four other states are currently considering legislation and another eight may place the question on the ballot come November. NFIB and the Congressional Budget Office say increasing the minimum wage will kill hundreds of thousands of jobs, primarily in small businesses.
