A NEW PACT FOR WIX

PACT Welcome WIX UK Aboard

Electronic trading specialist PACT is continuing in its successful quest to enable aftermarket parts suppliers and motor factors to trade with one another on a paper-free basis as a growing number of both suppliers and factors are joining the initiative and experiencing the benefits to their businesses.

One of the latest suppliers to become part of this trend is WIX UK and their inclusion further enhances the 70-strong supplier line up and makes it an even more attractive proposition for the motor factor as it allows them to connect with a host of parts suppliers across every conceivable product group.

Darran Johnson, WIX UK’s technical director said: “In a market that is constantly changing and developing, it is crucial that we keep up and allow our customers and potential customers to do business with us in the most convenient and cost-effective way possible.

“The beauty of being PACT ‘enabled’ is that it takes away the headache of having to manually input the orders we previously received from our customers and this provides us with a three-fold benefit.

“First, it speeds up the process as it is completely automated. Our customers simply send through their orders electronically and they appear on our system automatically without our intervention. Second, it improves the accuracy of the order process as it eliminates the possibility of keying in the wrong information during the input process, and third, it means there is a direct manpower cost saving as we don’t have to dedicate staff to the traditional manual order procedure, so they can be utilised more profitably elsewhere in the organisation.

“Obviously this way of doing business is also hugely beneficial to our customers as they are able to access our stock availability in ‘real time’ and place an order with us at their convenience, even if that’s outside of our normal trading hours.

“We were confident that it was the right decision to take and as now 45% of our existing customers are trading with us on this basis already, it is clear that PACT is the way ahead when it comes to order processing.

“Looking over the long-term we are confident that this figure will increase, particularly as we believe we have a convincing offering for the country’s buying groups and the ability to trade electronically is generally a requirement to do business with them.”

For PACT Mark Rudge said: “We’re delighted to add the WIX brand to the PACT stable, providing our motor factor customers with access to another premium product supplier with whom they can use automated ordering and invoicing processes to realise the inherent operational cost savings that electronic trading delivers.

“Those factors that have put in place the ability to trade electronically are realising daily cost savings in procurement, goods inward and accounts payable, so are able to run their business more efficiently than those factors still relying on paper-based processes.

“We therefore encourage these factors to seriously consider becoming PACT enabled so that they too can benefit from the lower overheads and increased profits that would otherwise be unattainable using manual procurement and accounts processes.”
