A1 LAUNCH A NEW INTRANET AND CONSUMER FRIENDLY WEBSITE
Packed with useful information and easier to use A1 Motor Stores has recently invested heavily into re-vamping its website and also creating a new members only Intranet site. The new and improved consumer website can be found at www.a1motorstores.co.uk and uses the very latest web technology. It will provide consumers with a solid introduction to A1 and its members and suppliers. A1 established over 28 years ago has 189 members and 274 outlets and continues to grow. It also has a 13,000 sq ft support and distribution centre in Hinckley. A1 offers the strength of a national chain but with the service of an independent. The Group aim to offer you the best choice, the best price and the best service to online and in-store customers. The new website has a clearer format and also offers new sections including: hints and tips from experts and a section on how to do it yourself in collaboration with Haynes manuals. The user can find their nearest A1 member store, view all product special offers and the latest social network links. The new website also enables sales to be channelled to members’ own A1 provided e-commerce websites. The new Intranet called A14U is for members only, who will access it daily as it enables members of A1 to keep up-to-date with the latest news and events. It includes; store profiles of the members, an information resource, and supplier information. In addition A12U (central warehouse) is the members’ distribution centre with a full product range, product offers, new listings and a simple how-to-order process.
