OE quality parts, boxed for business Wood Auto, a leading auto-electrical specialist since 1929, has launched its new corporate packaging to be used for all of its Wood Auto branded products as the final stage of a major rebranding exercise, which has been implemented during the course of 2009. Presented in its powerful corporate colours of red and white, the striking new packaging is sure to set Wood Auto products apart from its competitors on the counters of motor factors and auto-electrical specialists across the country. Because many of the complete units in Wood Auto’s comprehensive starter and alternator range are heavy and can be irregularly shaped, the packaging is manufactured to a very high standard to ensure that it can withstand normal ‘handling’ when the products are being transported from the warehouse to the factor and on to garage. The packaging material used has been specially chosen so that does not distort, tear or fail during the storage and delivery process. As well as being hardwearing and looking the part, the packaging also needs to be able to protect the products during transportation and for this the packaging features a novel inner support mechanism to prevent units moving around within the confines of the box.
