Parts Identification From The Sixties! Europe’s leading parts information data provider TecDoc, is not just the ultimate source for replacement part identification for the modern vehicle, it is also in the vanguard for the classic car sector too. TecDoc’s commercial director for UK and Eire, Shaun Greasley explains: “Because the bulk of TecDoc CATALOG users are endeavouring to identify parts for every-day vehicles from the volume sectors, there can be the perception that TecDoc is not particularly relevant to the classic market. However, nothing could be further from the truth. “The data available through TecDoc is comprehensive and the suppliers that host their parts data on the system will list all of their parts for every vehicle that they supply. This means that there are many parts references for a wide variety of ‘classics’ from as early as the 1940’s. “Vehicles on the system include VW’s from 1942, a 1950 Porsche, TR2’s from 1953, Morris Minor’s from 1955, Itala’s from 1959, MG’s, Riley’s and Heralds from 1961, Renault’s from 1962 and Land Rover’s from 1963. “The cost of £108 for an annual user licence, which drops to only £92 each for ten licence’s, it is a small price to pay to be able to access such a broad range of products through an easy-to-use web-based system. “Sourcing parts for classic cars can be a challenge, but as the annual cost works out at less than the cost of an average daily paper, it is realistic for classic restoration specialists and classic car enthusiasts to purchase a licence.” For more information about TecDoc, please contact Shaun Greasley on 01829 752888 or email: shaun.greasley@tecdoc.net ENDS Notes for editors TecDoc CATALOG, the trading name of its electronic parts catalogue information, provides a multi-brand parts solution to the vehicle service industry and at present, more than 370 replacement parts brands are represented on the TecDoc data system.
