Dickies – the internationally renowned workwear brand enjoyed not only a record number of sales but also won the Best Stand Award at the 2013 NMBS Exhibition on the 15th May at the Telford International Centre.

This year’s annual NMBS exhibition for independent merchants saw members and suppliers come together to make the day an undisputed success. A total of 255 exhibitor stands attracted the highest ever visitor numbers, as over 500 member delegates flooded through the doors. This year has also set a new record in terms of the value of orders placed at the show, with millions of business conducted over the course of the day.

The Dickies stand, which was the biggest yet, showcased some of their fantastic products, the Dickies 22 range and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with one-off deals on the day. Dickies 22 range consisting of fashion inspired Gasket and Torque Hoodies, Tundra Gilet, Forge and Galvanise T-Shirts, Anvil Polo shirts, Klaxon Shirt, Ergo Trousers, Oxide and Alloy Beanies.

Hardwearing trousers such as Redhawk Trousers are lightweight and extremely comfortable, with zipped pockets to secure your loose items. The new Pro Redhawk Trouser proved popular at the show as it is a great value contract trouser with a big saving on the Eisenhower version for larger work forces where the overall cost would prohibit going for a garment that has many more features and overall benefit that are gained by using a more engineered product.

In addition Dickies PPE products were also exhibited which offer maximum protection, whilst also maintaining comfort and range of vision at all times. The range includes:  Showa Gloves, Goggles, Safety Helmets, Bump Caps, range of Safety Spectacles, Ear Defenders and Ear Plugs, Safety Helmet and Visor kits, Respirators, Disposable Respirators along with some fantastic additions to the Safety Footwear Range.

Rob Haines, Regional Sales Director at Dickies commented: We were delighted to win the Best Stand Award and that we took a record number of sales on the day. We have been supporting the show for 15 years and we have a strong relationship with NMBS. Every visitor to the stand received a free Dickies Beanie hat and we also used the opportunity to promote the UK Worker of the Year 2013 competition on our stand, which also proved popular. This year’s winner will have the luxury of being able to take home a Suzuki Swift car or if they prefer, a Suzuki bike.”
