Hundreds of racing fans braved the somewhat wet weather conditions, to watch an action-packed weekend of beach racing in Weymouth.

The racing event, which was sponsored by Workwear clothing brand Dickies, consisted of two full days of youth solo racing, quad bike racing and buggy races.

The race was organised by O.R.E Events™ who were formed eight years ago, as a result of the increasing demand for race events by a team of Quadbike and Motorcycle Professionals wishing to pioneer the UK’s Quad and Enduro scene.

Rebecca Sturdy from O.R.E Events™ said: “This is not the first time we have worked with Dickies. They are a fabulous clothing brand and certainly a brand that our riders would be interested in. Looking forward to the 2014 event.”

The beach course consisted of a one-mile long track, specifically designed to test the riders to the limit, who were at times pushing speeds of up to 70mph.

Maurice Morton, Sales & Marketing Director at Dickies added: “We were absolutely delighted to be the main sponsor of the Weymouth Beach Race. It is certainly a market that Dickies is interested in targeting. Our aim is to get the Dickies brand at the forefront, and the Weymouth racing allowed us to do just that. I would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the races and of course the winners.”
