HIRST FOOTWEAR IS DICKIES 2012 UK DISTRIBUTOR OF THE YEAR
Hirst Footwear based in Oldham has scooped the top award at this year’s UK Distributor of the Year awards for world-renowned workwear manufacturers, Dickies.
UK Worker of the Year is now in its third year of seeking out, rewarding and promoting excellence in the British workforce.
Leading distributors for Dickies products from around the country – as well as the UK Worker of the Year finalists – all came together for a gala awards dinner, at Marlow’s Crowne Plaza hotel, hosted by Dickies and SEAT under the guidance of TV Presenter, Quentin Willson.
Dickies presented no less than seven separate Distributor Category awards.
Hirst Footwear was established in 1983 the business has grown with the product range, experience and the team of experts. They quickly learnt that their customers demanded quality high end products at realistic prices. This brought them together with the Dickies brand and a steadfast partnership was born.
A modern well-stocked shop supported by a dedicated warehouse with sufficient stock to support their customers needs in store as well as online as modern technology developed.
Huge growth over the past three years is mainly due to their dedication for the Dickies brand and therefore deserves further recognition as our Distributor of the Year.
A delighted Mike Hirst from Hirst Footwear was on hand to collect the award.

Di Mayze an entrepreneur from Nottingham has been crowned UK Worker of the Year for 2012. Dickies is proud to announce that it will again be organising UK Worker of the Year in 2013, as part of its commitment to the British market and the workers from whom the company provides quality, cost effective workwear.

ABOUT UK WORKER OF THE YEAR
UK Worker of the Year searches for workers who exemplify what doing a good job is all about and workwear giant, Dickies and car manufacturer SEAT UK expanded and enhanced the competition for 2012 to help better reach and reward the UK workforce.
The 2012 UK Worker of the Year won a SEAT Exeo S Ecomotive as part of their prize for winning the title and there were holidays for the runners up, as well as various products from the Dickies range of high quality workwear.
UK Worker of the Year was live for entries and nominations for the competition between May and September.
UK Worker of the Year is free to enter and is open to any UK worker aged 17 or over at the commencement of the competition.
The finalists were invited in October to meet judges at the world famous Pinewood Film Studios – home, among many other blockbusters to the James Bond movies and TV favourites such as Dragons’ Den.
The crowning of the UK Worker of the Year took place at a gala finale in November, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow.
