Just Car Clinics Group (JCC) is celebrating recently gaining the Kitemark certification across its 24-site network over the North, East and central England after newly acquired Stourbridge recently achieved the standard. Areas covered include: Banbury, Bradford, Doncaster, Durham, Grantham, Grimsby, Hartlepool, Hinckley, Hull, Ilkeston, Keighley Leeds, Lincoln, Mansfield, Nottingham, Redditch, Scarborough, Scunthorpe two in Sheffield, Swindon, Wakefield and York. Not all bodyshops are the same: To earn the Kitemark for Vehicle Body Repair shops must prove that they conform to tough new standards set down in PAS 125. These include strict requirements that focus on skills, repair methods, equipment and materials. In addition, workshops must demonstrate that they have repair process management controls in place to monitor activities. All these elements are then assessed by independent BSI inspectors and must meet stringent benchmarks to be awarded the valuable Kitemark by BSI. Therefore a motorist should always look for the Kitemark symbol when choosing a bodyshop. The group was set up in 2003 after a management buy out. Employing over 620 staff across 25 different locations, JCC carry out collision repairs to around 45,000 vehicles every year. Just Car Clinics has been particularly keen to promote high standards in the body repair industry and has invested in excess of £250,000 to support all sites through the process to achieve the accreditation.

Barry Whittles, CEO, of JCC said: "The team has been working hard all year at a number of sites to improve performance, service and facilities in line with the Kitemark standards and I am thrilled that we now have a full house of recognised high standards across our network."

"The Kitemark is extremely important for our industry to position our businesses as the credible and professional operations that many are and reassure customers that they have a choice they can trust. In a competitive trading world it is important that customers, particularly for accident repair, don’t lose focus on seeking out quality workmanship. We would urge all customers to look out for the BSI Kitemark quality symbol and we are proud to be able to display it in all Just Car Clinics sites.
” Quentin Willson, UK consumer motoring champion added: “We are impressed with the dedication shown by all the team at Just Car Clinics Group achieving the Kitemark in such a short space of time over a large number of sites and we truly believe that it will benefit their organisation and their customers. By gaining the certification it demonstrates how serious the bodyshop is about getting critical vehicle body repair safety processes right. “ For details on BSI Kitemark visit www.kitemark.com.
