MANBAT EXTENDS ITS ENERSYS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT

A New Supply Channel For Industry Battery Users Manbat, the UK’s largest independent battery distributor has announced an extension to its existing agreement with EnerSys, to now include motive products. As the world's largest industrial battery manufacturer, EnerSys is at the forefront of power storage technology, delivering effective solutions for a huge range of applications. The agreement with Manbat includes its Hawker and Energia brands, which are used in electric material handling trucks (forklift trucks, pallet trucks, aerial work platforms, AGVs etc), cleaning machines and other industrial battery powered or hybrid vehicles. With the agreement in place, Manbat has already begun to distribute Hawker 2-volt cells, primarily through dealers in the self-fit market, but the forklift specialists and other end users will receive stock imminently. Michael Broom, sales director for Manbat’s industrial division said: “Our existing relationship with EnerSys, for whom we already distribute the Odyssey range, was key to the addition of the Hawker and Energia brands for our growing industrial division. “Manbat is an established business with nine wholly-owned branches and a truly national presence, and we offer EnerSys the distribution network these two brands deserve. We are confident that together we will significantly grow their market share of the industrial battery sector. “We also have the small traction powerbloc range from EnerSys, which consist of 6 and 12v blocs.
