The smaller machines will generally use multiple six-volt ‘traction mono-bloc’ batteries, which range from 200 - 400 amp/h in capacity. However, when used for the larger lifts or for forklift applications, the batteries are the full ‘traction’ type, which usually come in two-volt multiples and can be built up to the size required. Full traction batteries are available in either fully sealed maintenance-free or semi-sealed easy-maintenance formats and have substantially deeper capacities than traction mono-blocs.
