NOTTINGHAMSHIRE MANUFACTURER & 2012 UKWOTY WINNER URGES ALL TO ENTER 2013 COMPETITION
Di Mayze, 37, an entrepreneur from Nottingham, who was crowned UK Worker of the Year for 2012 has urged everyone to enter the national competition this year.
Di wowed the judges with her passion and drive for her business, becoming the competitions’ third winner at the Gala event at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow last year.
Di’s company called Ippee Design Ltd was launched in January 2011 when Di was on maternity leave. Two years on and the popular product BuggyTug is sold by some of the leading retailers. She has since launched a new product TugTrio that is a pack of three buggy straps.
“This competition has changed my life and the car will help me so much with my work and business in the future. The journey has been brilliant and I’ve met so many fantastic people during my time in the competition. I’m already looking forward to being a part of UK Worker of the Year 2013.
“I would urge anyone who hears about the competition to have a go at entering or to nominate someone as an entrant. It costs nothing except a few minutes of time and those few minutes could prove to be incredibly worthwhile,” says Di.
UK Worker of the Year 2013 launches 15thApril to find Britain’s top workers and ultimately the UK Worker of the Year.
UK Worker of the Year 2013 is sponsored by Dickies, in association with Suzuki. This year’s winner will have the luxury of being able to take home a Suzuki Swift car or if they prefer, a Suzuki bike.

This will mark the fourth year of the competition presented by the legendary workwear company, which seeks to recognise and reward excellence in the British workforce.

Joint second place went to Somerset pest controller, Tom Edwards and Suffolk painter & decorator Anna Bettis who walked away with thousands of pounds of holiday vouchers.
UK Worker of the Year is a free to enter competition and is open to anyone who works in the UK aged 17 or over. The winner of UK Worker of the Year 2013 will be announced at the Gala event, which will be held at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on 18thOctober 2013.

UK Worker of the Year searches for workers who exemplify what doing a good job is all about organised by workwear giant, Dickies.
