Ex-Manbat Man Make A Welcome Return

Manbat is delighted to be able to announce that Paul Clayton has returned to the fold five years after leaving the business and has re-joined the company as the business development manager for the northwest.

Paul is a well-respected professional with many years experience selling a variety of business-to-business products to several different industrial sectors. Having previously worked for Manbat for 13 years between 1994 and 2007, Paul is extremely familiar with the company, but even he is impressed with the speed of development within the business since its acquisition by Ecobat in 2010.

Commenting on his reappointment Paul said: “I had 13 great years with Manbat and I only really left because I had a young family and I was working from the Abergele branch, which is a long way from home. However, we parted on very good terms and when the opportunity came to return to the business, working in the northwest territory, it was an easy decision to make.

For Manbat, managing director Steve Sheppard said: “Paul is a great salesman with excellent knowledge of the battery industry, so having him back as part of the Manbat team is great news for us and our customers. Together I’m sure we will be able to cultivate more business with our existing customers and develop new accounts with the increasing range of products in our portfolio.”

A keen all-round sportsman, Paul is particularly committed to football and is a long-serving player with the Old Ashtonians, where he’s been in the squad for the last 24 years.

“I started as out a striker, but over the years I’ve gradually been moving down the order to the midfield and now sometimes even defence. However, although I may have lost a yard on the pitch, I’m still in my prime when it comes to work, so I’m really looking forward to winning again with the Manbat team”, Paul concluded.
