UNRIVALLED COLLECTION OF GULF ORIGINAL RACE CARS AT RETROMOBILE AND YOUR CHANCE TO VIEW THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS, AT A VIP PREVIEW

On behalf of Gulf Oil International, I am delighted to invite you to the VIP Champagne Reception Preview of the ROFGO Gulf Collection (by Duncan Hamilton) at this year’s Retromobile Show in Paris on the evening of the 1st February. This unique collection includes 14 original Gulf sponsored race cars that have been completely restored to their original specifications. The collection spans from 1967 to 2010 and showcases some of the leading makes in endurance motor-racing, such as Porsche, Ford, McLaren and of course Aston Martin. The display includes all of the livery compilations that Gulf have competed under, such as the sunset yellow colour of the 1970 McLaren M40, the dark blue and Silver of the 1996 McLaren F1 and of course the iconic light blue and orange combination, synonymous with the Gulf brand. Below are just a few of the models that form the collection: - 1967 Mirage – first shown at the 1967 Le Mans April Test - 1968 Ford GT40 – competed in the 1968 Spa 1000Kms driven by Hawkins and Hobbs - 1970 Porsche 908/3 – competed in the Nurburgring 100Kms and was driven by Joe Siffert - 1971 Porsche 917k – finished 2nd at the Le Mans 24Hrs, driven by Attwood and Muller - 1996 McLaren F1 GTR – driven by Bscher and Nielson in the Hockenheim 4Hrs, amongst others - 2009 Aston Martin Racing LMP1 – driven by Peter Kox and Harold Primat This event is the first time that such a large number of original Gulf racing cars will be displayed in public together in one place and is an unique opportunity to see this spectacle of motor sport history. The collection is due to be displayed at the Retromobile event for the entire period of the show (2nd to 6th February) but we are offering you the chance to join us on the evening prior to the opening, for an exclusive preview. The evening will begin at 20.30 on the 1st February in the main exhibition hall (on the ground floor) on the display stand (number 120) and will run to approximately 22.30 that evening.
