Viney Jung, 44, may have just missed out on scooping the top accolade of Asian Woman of Achievement Award in the business category, but is still delighted to have been recognised for her hard work.

The mother of three, who was shortlisted for the award after becoming a pillar of her local community, attended the awards ceremony at the London Hilton, earlier this week, on the 15th May 2013.

Viney Jung, started her law firm Jung & Co Solicitors, in North Road, Southall, in 1998, and runs free legal advice clinics as well as being committed to legal aid. Aside from running her own firm, which was the first in West London to achieve the Lexcel Quality Mark, Viney also finds the time to work as a notary public, in addition to fulfilling the role of part-time mental health tribunal judge.

Despite missing out on the award, the Southall based businesswomen was thrilled with her recent achievement.

Viney said: “It was a honour to be nominated for such a prestigious award. It was a brilliant evening. It’s always nice to be recognised for your hard work. Our company, Jung & Co solicitors, is committed to doing things for our community such as the free advice clinic, law workshops in schools, work experience and even sponsoring a local football team. I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support leading up to the awards.”

Viney also serves the local schools by offering work placements and attends careers days.

Ms Jung has vowed to continue with her energy, commitment and passion to client care that has seen her firm prosper in recent years.
