Supporting The CV Operators Show Wood Auto, a leading auto-electrical specialist since 1929, was one of a number of businesses that chose to support the automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket by exhibiting at the 2010 CV Operators Show. The Huddersfield-based business has been a long-term exhibitor at the event and it used the stage to showcase its growing range of aftermarket products. Its 42m2 purpose built stand was shared with sister company Leyland Auto, the car and commercial vehicle parts and service expert, which became a member of the Wood Auto Group in 2007. At the close of the show, Graham Heywood, managing director of Wood Auto said: “Perhaps unlike many other businesses, we were particularly keen to exhibit this year because of the change in the complexion of the show this time around. We felt that the absence of many of the major truck manufacturers could in fact benefit us as the event would yield a higher number of visitors form the parts side of the car and commercial industries, which is where our customers are do their business. “We are delighted to report that the show was a success for us and there was indeed a good deal of interest in the two businesses on show and we picked up plenty of positive leads. It was good to be able to reinforce the message that our rotating range caters for all sectors and covers more than 4,800 application references, but it was also useful to inform visitors of the many other products we offer that complement this programme. “The ancillary range, which covers bulbs, cables, fuses, relays, switches and wiper products, as well as the LED Autolamps range was popular with many and we were delighted to have copies our brand new Ancillary Range catalogue available for visitors to take away. “Our air conditioning compressor range made its show debut and we were very pleased with the interest that this new product group generated, particularly when visitors learned that the 1,000 unit range covers both car and commercial vehicle applications.” “The show was also a success for Leyland Auto because it was the first opportunity for us to explain the major investment we have made in our diesel diagnostic, service and reconditioning programme. This is a growing sector of the business and the feedback from exhibitors was very encouraging as they expressed considerable interest in these developments.” For more information regarding Wood Auto, please contact the sales office on: 01484 439000, email: sales@woodauto.com or visit: www.woodauto.com ENDS
