After much deliberation, the International Taste Institute has recognized Chiquita for the outstanding taste and quality of the brand’s naturally sweet bananas. To determine the winners of the Superior Taste Award, a jury of more than 200 independent Chefs & Sommeliers joined from over 20 countries to evaluate each product based on the International Taste Institute’s strict tasting methodology. This methodology consists of non-biased product presentation, a blind taste test using the tasting philosophy, and a general sensory evaluation. Combined, these factors determine overall scores and ranks.
