Volunteers from the Church of Scientology Mission of Kaohsiung are helping teachers contend with elementary school behavior and attitude problems through seminars on The Way to Happiness, a nonreligious moral code based entirely on common sense, written by author, humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard.

Originally published in 1981, The Way to Happiness applies to people of all ages, cultures and beliefs.

The seminar introduces teachers to The Way to Happiness Educator’s Resource Kit, which contains the book, audiovisual aids and an interactive curriculum designed to help students examine their values and make choices based on the effects their actions will have on themselves and others.

The curriculum consists of:

  • Lesson plans designed for teens and young adults that incorporate the 21 precepts of The Way to Happiness
  • Public service announcements that introduce each of the precepts
  • The Way to Happiness booklets
  • Feature-length The Way to Happiness book on film
  • Posters that illustrate each of the precepts, and
  • Assessment tools provided to track improvements and changes in student attitudes and actions.

The entire interactive curriculum in 17 languages is available to educators free of charge. It is also accessible online through a virtual classroom at The Way to Happiness website and The Way to Happiness Online Education App for iPad and iPhone.

The Church of Scientology and its members are proud to share the tools for happier living contained in The Way to Happiness with all who work to build a better world. For more information, visit the Scientology website at http://www.Scientology.org/thewaytohappiness.
