Scientology: How We Help—Turning the Tide on School Bullying in Taiwan
New survey shows significant decrease in Taiwan school bullying coinciding with human rights education program by Scientology-supported group.

Results of a survey released March 18 indicate a significant decrease in school bullying coincides with educational activities carried out in Taiwan schools by Youth for Human Rights Taiwan since 2004.
Supported by the Church of Scientology in Taiwan,Youth for Human Rights is changing attitudes about bullying through human rights seminars and presentations in elementary and middle schools, lectures in universities and petition drives across the country. To date, these presentations have reached more than 100,000 students in 659 schools.
In March 2013, the Church of Scientology in Taiwan hosted the 10th annual Youth for Human Rights International World Educational Tour and the first Asian Human Rights Youth Summit in Taipei, where Taiwanese youth networked with young delegates from nine other countries, learning new skills to advance their regional human rights initiatives.
The YHR Taiwan team aligns its activities with human rights events commonly observed throughout the world. On the International Day of Tolerance, celebrated annually on November 16, YHRI holds street events and lectures. It organizes Human Rights Walks, public events and school presentations on December 10, International Human Rights Day.
In recognition of the dedication and effectiveness of these volunteers, the Minister of Education has appointed the Taiwan Youth for Human Rights Executive Director, Fenny Lee, as a member of Taiwan’s Human Rights Education Council.
