Cimco Marine AB (publ) which produces the world's first diesel engine in the higher power ranges and is listed on Nasdaq First North, has been awarded the "Best Industrial Exporter IPO Sweden 2017 Award". The prize is awarded annually by London-based CFI.co, which monitors business and economics from a global perspective.
Summary of jury's motivation:
• Cimco Marine has developed the world's first diesel engines with high power.
• The development of OXE Diesel represents a marine technical breakthrough.
• The development of OXE Diesel is in line with NATO's “single fuel” directive.

In a comment regarding that Swedish Cimco Marine AB has been awarded the prize, the jury also says: "It is with great pleasure that the award this year goes to a Swedish innovative engineering company whose unique product meets both needs and demands".

Cimco Marine AB (publ) has, after several years of development, constructed the OXE Diesel, the world´s first diesel outboard engine in the high power segment. OXE Diesel has a unique belt driven propulsion system that allows a hydraulic multi-friction gearbox to be mounted. This means that the engine can handle significantly higher loads than a traditional outboard engine. Cimco’s OXE diesel has a horizontally mounted engine as opposed to a traditional outboard with a vertically mounted engine.
