Cision Integrates Self-Service TV and Radio Monitoring Into CisionPoint PR Software
First Solution With ‘Internet Search Engine for Broadcast Monitoring’ Gives UK CisionPoint Users Powerful Competitive Edge in Tracking, Analysing and Responding to Coverage
LONDON, 14 September, 2010 – Cision, the leading provider of software, services and tools for the media and public relations industry, today announced that it has integrated self-service broadcast media monitoring capability into its award-winning CisionPoint on-demand PR software solution – making CisionPoint the first software platform of its kind in the United Kingdom to offer near real-time, self-service broadcast monitoring.
With this significant enhancement, PR professionals can access near real-time, self-service TV and radio coverage search with streaming video and audio within hours of airing. This integration provides PR professionals with a new way of monitoring broadcast coverage. CisionPoint customers can now use keywords to search the database for any subject sourced from 130 UK national and local TV and radio stations or from US national, cable and local stations.
“Having the ability to search and view TV and radio content on the day is incredibly helpful and saves us valuable time searching online in the normal method. This really will be invaluable if having to deal with any crisis management issues that may arise. CisionPoint’s self-service broadcast monitoring also has the flexibility to allow us to get real in-depth research around client brands and issues,” said Louisa Durrant, Director Designate, Talk PR.
This new functionality gives PR professionals unprecedented flexibility in the way they search for broadcast coverage for their own clients, as well as facilitating the research of key influencers and relevant topics. CisionPoint stores broadcast coverage online, and can be searched for up to 90 days from transmission.
“CisionPoint’s broadcast tool is like an Internet search engine for TV and radio monitoring,” said Peter Granat, CEO of Cision Europe. “This function gives users the ability to create targeted searches, view and share broadcast coverage, identify and target relevant influencers, and show clients what various broadcast media are saying about the issues that matter to them. It’s a powerful tool to add to the PR arsenal, and CisionPoint is the only platform that offers it.”
The integration of self-service broadcast monitoring into CisionPoint brings enhanced functionality, as the search results can be used with capabilities that enable PR professionals to build and manage targeted distribution lists, issue press releases, integrate with other media content – such as print, internet and social media - and analyse the results via sharable charts, lists and reports.
