Cision Enhances Mobile Application for PR Software Platform
Cision, the leading provider of PR software, services and tools for the marketing and public relations industry, today announced enhancements to its Cision Media Database mobile application.
Cision’s mobile users can now search for and access a full suite of outlet information, as well as contact data, from the Cision Media Database through their smartphone or tablet. Search results provide key media outlet information, including: media type, circulation, outlet profile, Influence Rating (Cision’s rating of a journalist, blogger, or outlet’s online influence), geographic location, outlet URLs, unique visitors per month, phone and fax numbers and more.
Mobile users can also access full contact information for individual journalists and other influencers, including phone number, email and Twitter handles. Plus, mobile users can uncover the top 20 contacts in their search sorted by Influence Rating. Cision also made it easier for users to share contact and outlet information by email.
The new features and functions were based on user feedback received since the Beta version of Cision’s mobile software was introduced in late 2011.
“PR and marketing professionals are always on the go – we understand the importance of having a convenient way to access an online database to search for journalists and media outlets from mobile devices,” said Peter Granat, Chief Executive Officer of Cision North America. “With Cision’s best-in-class software now available through an enhanced mobile application, we’re directly responding to user feedback by offering an easy way for communicators to connect quickly and effectively with the right media and influencers from anywhere and at any time.”
