CHICAGO, July 21, 2011 – Cision, the leading provider of PR software, services and tools for the marketing and PR industry, today announced that the Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF) selected Cision as its campaign management platform.

Based in San Diego, Challenged Athletes Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities through physical fitness and competitive athletics. The foundation’s programs are designed to encourage independence and active lifestyles, and enhance the quality of life and self-esteem for disabled athletes.

Featured on Today, Oprah, Dateline, Nightline, Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, ESPN The Magazine and other national outlets, CAF has a prominent media profile and reaches out to athletes and would-be athletes with physical challenges across the United States.

CAF selected Cision because of its superior media monitoring: It offers broadcast, print, online and social media monitoring in one, online platform. Cision also integrates media research – the comprehensive Cision Media Database – for identifying key influencers and planning campaigns, as well as media analysis capabilities.

“Cision gives us the capability to comprehensively monitor media coverage that affects challenged athletes around the world – and more effectively tell our story,” said Rebecca Beauchman, CAF’s Marketing Manager. “With all key functions so tightly integrated in one solution, it helps us be more productive and efficient.”

Winner of the CODiE Award for 2011’s Best Marketing/PR Solution from the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), Cision has been adopted by nearly 30,000 users in over 20 countries since its launch in October 2007. Cision is available in eight languages, and used by 49 out of the top 50 PR agencies, corporations, non-profits, universities and solo practitioners. Cision also has won a CODiE Award for Best Online News Service and received the Product Development of the Year Award for 2010 from the Data Publishers Association (DPA) in the UK.

“As a complete, cost-effective solution for campaign management that enables communicators – even in smaller departments – to be highly effective in their day-to-day work, Cision is a superior PR and marketing software tool for non-profit organizations,” said Peter Granat, President and Chief Operating Officer of Cision North America.
