Cision Selected as a 2013 CODiE Award Finalist in Two Digital Content Categories

CHICAGO, December 19, 2012 – Cision, the leading provider of cloud-based PR software, services and tools for the marketing and public relations industry, today announced that its campaign management software has been selected as a CODiE Award finalist in two categories – Best Media and Information Monitoring Solution and Best Business Information Solution.

The CODiE Awards, sponsored by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), are the industry’s only peer-to-peer annual awards competition. Since becoming eligible for the honor in 2009, Cision has won four CODiE Awards, including  Best Online Business Information Solution (2012) and Best Marketing/PR Solution (2011).

“To tell their stories most effectively, communicators must identify the most influential voices in traditional and social media, understand what’s being written and said, and engage in conversations the right way,” said Peter Granat, Chief Executive Officer of Cision North America. “Consideration for a 2013 CODiE Award in the categories of Best Media and Information Monitoring and Business Information clearly shows that Cision software supports our customers in these critical tasks.”

The Best Media and Information Monitoring Solution category recognizes the best digital content solution for “capturing and analyzing content, editorial opinion or advertising across online, mobile, social or other media.”

The Best Business Information Solution category selects the top digital content offerings that help professionals in sales, marketing, strategy, business development, research or other departments do their day-to-day jobs better by providing business and vertical-industry news and company and industry information and data.

Cision’s campaign management software has been adopted by over 30,000 users in more than 20 countries since its launch in October 2007. It is available in nine languages and used by over 95 percent of the top PR agencies, as well as corporations, nonprofits, universities and solo practitioners.

For 27 years, the SIIA CODiE Awards have honored more than 1,000 software and information companies for excellence and remain the only peer-recognized program in the content, business software, and educational software industries. After a round of voting by SIIA members, the winners in digital content categories will be announced on January 31, 2013.
