Best-of-breed TV and radio intelligence service tracks hundreds of authoritative news sources in the U.S.

CHICAGO, August 17, 2010 Cision, the leading provider of software, services and tools for the media and public relations industry and Critical Mention, the most comprehensive real-time broadcast capture network in the industry, today announced a partnership, integrating a version of Critical Mention’s CTV partner platform (CTVp) into the award-winning CisionPoint PR workflow software solution.

Integration of CTVp will enable CisionPoint users with:

  • Access to many of the features in the Critical Mention video and audio presentation layer
  • Keyword search functionality from broadcasts across the 210 U.S. markets
  • Comprehensive video and audio editing capabilities
  • Ability to easily share news clips and reports internally

Integration of Critical Mention’s partner broadcast monitoring service, available by late August, will give CisionPoint users new, state of the art tools with which they can view, edit and share coverage. CisionPoint already offers users streaming broadcast content from all 210 U.S. DMAs (designated market areas), including national TV channels, major cable outlets, and top radio stations.

“With CTVp, CisionPoint combines best-of-breed TV and radio intelligence software with best-in-class PR workflow software,” said Joe Bernardo, President and CEO of Cision North America. “Leveraging the high-grade Critical Mention platform enables Cision to better focus on software development and services delivery to continue giving users access to the industry’s best media research, contact, monitoring and analysis tools.”

“As more and more business intelligence companies leverage Critical Mention’s Partner Services to introduce TV and radio into their platforms – we are especially pleased to announce that Cision, a clear leader in public relations workflow software has also migrated to our platforms,” said Sean Morgan, CEO of Critical Mention. “Integration of the CTV partner platform with CisionPoint is a marriage of leaders that will bring our services to a growing base of top companies, public relations agencies and other organizations.”
