Comment by Cision CEO Hans Gieskes:
“In spite of having had an eventful second quarter, our steadfast focus on transformation and growth again paid off: on top of continued growth in the US we’re happy to report a return to organic growth in Europe with 4% for the quarter. Apart from these positive growth trends, the two key events in the quarter were resolving a legal threat issue in the US and the divestment of our US print monitoring business, our eighth such divestment of a traditional media monitoring business since January 2009. Following completion of this divestment in the third quarter, Cision’s business profile will again improve in the form of higher gross margin and a greater focus on increasing the value of our software and digital services for our customers.”
