Per E Larsson joins Observer Nordic & Baltic; Karl Hulteberg named new Managing Director of Observer Sweden

Per E Larsson has joined Observer Nordic & Baltic on a consulting basis to head the region during a transitional period. At the same time the current Sales Director, Karl Hulteberg, has been appointed Managing Director of Observer Sverige.

Per E Larsson was previously CEO of OMX, which owns and operates the largest integrated securities market in Northern Europe and is a leading provider of marketplace services and solutions for the financial and energy markets. OMX currently owns and operates the stock exchanges in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. “Observer is an exciting company involved in an intensive change process,” says Per E Larsson. “I hope to contribute to the company’s development in the Nordic market and see several parallels between Observer and OMX. Both companies offer specialized interdisciplinary services involving high technology, at the same time that they have a strong local presence.” Karl Hulteberg has been named the new Managing Director of Observer Sweden. Karl Hulteberg is currently Sales Director of Observer Sweden and has many years of experience from senior positions in the telecom and IT sectors, including as Marketing Director at Digital Equipment and CEO of Netwise. “I look forward to being able to work even more extensively with our Swedish clients,” says Karl Hulteberg. “Observer Sweden will be even better at identifying their needs and thereby increase our growth. Swedish clients are very sophisticated, and we are working hard to improve our services so that we always provide the best solutions for the market.” Per E Larsson and Karl Hulteberg succeed Andreas Falkenmark, who served as Regional Manager for Observer Nordic & Baltic and Managing Director of the Swedish company. Mr. Falkenmark will, as previously announced, take over as Vice President of Posten AB this fall. At the same time Observer Group’s Director of Market & Business Development, Markus Gerdien, has been recruited to head OMX Technology. Markus’ duties will now be shared by his two closest colleagues within the Market & Business Development function.
