Citi Appoints New Country Head for Sweden and Head of Nordic Corporate Banking
Citi today announced the appointment of Alexander Stiris as Country Head for Sweden and Head of Nordic Corporate Banking, based in Stockholm. He will also assume responsibility as Nordic Cluster Head with the country heads in the Nordics reporting to him. Alexander will report to Zdenek Turek, CEO of Citibank Europe and Tom Isaac, EMEA Corporate Banking Head.
Alexander joined Citi in 2001 and spent initial years in Madrid and London. In 2008 he moved to Hong Kong, where he worked in TMT investment banking and then in CEEMEA Corporate Finance, based in Dubai. Most recently he was a Managing Director in the Corporate Bank, covering EMEA TMT, (Telecommunications, Media and Technology) based in London. He replaces Mikkel Grønlykke, who recently relocated to London to become the Head of Corporate Banking for Citi in Central and Eastern Europe as well as Head of Corporate Banking for Citibank Europe plc.

This key appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to continue growing the Nordic franchise across key sectors and products.
