STOCKHOLM - October 6, 2025 – Citi today announces the appointment of Tobias Åkermark and Kasper Dichow to lead Citi’s Nordic Investment Banking franchise. They will be based in Stockholm and Copenhagen, respectively. Tobias will join Citi end of 2025, and Kasper early in 2026.

Tobias Åkermark brings over 20 years of investment banking experience in M&A and capital markets transactions across the Nordics. He joins from Barclays, where he served as Country CEO Sweden and Head of Nordic Banking. Prior to Barclays, Tobias spent fifteen years at Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director, including serving as Head of Nordic M&A.

Kasper Dichow has nearly two decades of investment banking experience in the region across products. He joins from Nordea, where he served as Nordic Head of Corporate Finance & Equity Capital Markets, leading a pan-Nordic team of over 100 professionals. Prior to joining Nordea in 2015, Kasper led Credit Suisse’s Nordic Investment Banking business.

In their new roles, Tobias and Kasper will report to Patrick Frowein, Head of Europe Investment Banking and Erik Savola, Head of Nordics and Head of Europe Corporate Banking, in their Investment Banking and Nordic franchise capacities.

“We are pleased to welcome Tobias Åkermark and Kasper Dichow to lead Citi’s Investment Banking franchise in the Nordics,” says Patrick Frowein, Head of Europe Investment Banking. “Their combined leadership, deep networks, and extensive experience will be instrumental as Citi strategically invests in this key region, enhancing our strong momentum and delivering exceptional value for clients across our European and global franchise.”

“These appointments unequivocally underscore Citi’s strong and decisive commitment to the Nordic market
, as we deliver market-leading advisory and execution for our clients,” says Erik Savola, Head of Nordics and Head of Europe Corporate Banking. “Tobias and Kasper’s combined local knowledge and proven track record are perfectly aligned with our strategy to further strengthen our integrated offering and build on Citi’s established foundation across the Nordics.”

Citi has a long-standing history in the Nordic region comprised of five distinct countries, with a presence in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden for over 50 years, and serving Nordic clients for over a century. This dual appointment underscores Citi’s continued focus on the Nordics, a region where Citi has consistently been recognized for its investment banking capabilities. This includes being awarded "Best Investment Bank in Sweden" for the third consecutive year by Euromoney, and "Best Investment Bank in Norway" this year (2025). These accolades build upon a history of annual recognition for its investment banking performance across the Nordic countries.
