Cowboy Festival: Music, Food and Thrills of the Old West Top the Lineup for 20th Anniversary

Santa Clarita, Calif. - A legendary Southern California movie studio ranch and more than 15 acts will entertain thousands on four different stages at the Cowboy Festival commencing on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Melody Ranch ™ Motion Pictures Studio.

Celebrating its 20th year, the Santa Clarita-produced festival presented by Logix Federal Credit Union is the perfect Southern California destination to enjoy an authentic throwback experience to the days of the Old West. The Cowboy Festival delivers a weekend full of Western music, Cowboy poetry, trick ropers, gunslingers, living history exhibits, authentic Cowboy treats like the famous Dutch oven cobbler, Western designer fashions, and more.

Western legends featured in the 2013 lineup include Riders in the Sky, Baxter Black, Hot Club Cowtown, Sons of the San Joaquin, Don Edwards, The Saddle Cats, Ginny Mac and Sourdough Slim. Guests will also have an exclusive opportunity to walk the streets of the historic Melody Ranch ™ Motion Picture Studio, which was formerly owned by Gene Autry. The Ranch has served as the backdrop for hundreds of Western films and television shows since 1915, including HBO’s Deadwood, The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, and Quentin Tarantino's academy award-winning film, Django Unchained.

Tickets are available on the Cowboy Festival site and include free parking. Adult one-day passes are $20.00 and $10.00 for children 12 and under.
