Las Vegas Law Firm Holds Second Annual Students With A Cause Video Contest for Nevada Teens
Richard Harris Law Firm asks teens to tackle the subject of distracted driving in online public service announcement contest
LAS VEGAS, April 6, 2011—Richard Harris Law Firm is challenging Nevada teens to compete in its Students With A Cause video public service announcement (PSA) contest this spring. The mission of the contest is to encourage high school students to use their creativity and express themselves about an important cause—the dangers of districted driving and its potentially life-changing repercussions.
“Distracted drivers take their lives and the lives of others on the road for granted," said Las Vegas personal injury attorney Richard Harris. "Our PSA contest is meant to award originality, conscientiousness, and active participation in the prevention of this serious issue.”
High school students (grades 9 to 12) will create video PSAs addressing the dangers of distracted driving. This topic includes anything that could keep a driver from paying attention to the road, such as talking on the phone, texting, eating, changing music on the radio, etc. Students will be judged on their abilities to analyze the topic and produce quality videos.
The first-place winner will choose between a new Apple MacBook with Apple Final Cut Express HD or a $1,500 gift card to an electronics store. The first-place winner’s school will receive a $500 donation, as well. The second-place winner will receive a $500 gift card to an electronics store.
The deadline for all entries is Monday, May 13, 2011. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded in June.
