Life CHAMPS® founder Steve Snider recognized as Arkansas hero by Rainwater, Holt & Sexton

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Sept. 20, 2011—The members of Rainwater, Holt & Sexton are pleased to recognize Steve Snider, co-founder of Life CHAMPS® sports league, for his dedication to being a positive role model for young athletes. As the latest honoree of the The Ripple Effect program, Steve Snider uses athletics to teach young people good sportsmanship and the importance of having a strong character.

Each day we’re given the opportunity to write our own story and see how we will encourage, lead, and influence in a way that blesses others and makes a difference,” said Snider, who reinforces these life lessons to players, coaches, referees, and parents. “I love encouraging kids and inspiring them to become positive influences and live to help others. Encouragement, strong character, and good sportsmanship are the foundation to help kids become lifelong champions and leaders who will bring positive change to the world.

Building Champions for Life

Life CHAMPS is a nonprofit youth sports organization that uses the platform of sports to build champions for life. The organization promotes healthy competition while also teaching that life is about more than just winning by encouraging kids to do what’s right both on and off the field.

“Knowing that Steve is a fellow attorney, we are intrigued with his passion for helping others through the medium of fitness and sports,” said personal injury attorney Mike Rainwater, managing partner of Rainwater, Holt & Sexton. “We see the effects of his work here in Little Rock, and we are thankful for leaders like Steve Snider.”

Co-director of Life CHAMPS and former Razorback star football player Anthony Lucas says working with Snider is an awesome experience. “Steve is always encouraging everyone to do their best, no matter what is going on in their lives. His love for people makes him a hero. He will give you the shirt off of his back if you need it. He thrives on serving others.”
