Need Money for College? Joye Law Firm Offers Scholarships to South Carolina Teens

Joye Law Firm will award college scholarships to graduating high school seniors in South Carolina

Joye Law Firm is offering to help local teens further their college education by awarding $2,000 scholarships to six graduating seniors who attend a high school in the low country, Grand Strand, or Pee Dee areas of South Carolina.

“We’re excited to be able to help ease the cost of college for students and their families," said South Carolina attorney Ken Harrell, managing partner of Joye Law Firm. "In fact, we’ve provided more than $50,000 in scholarships to local teens since we started the program in 2006.”

Recipients are chosen by the firm’s selection committee, which reviews students’ school activities, positions of leadership, special honors, community involvement, academic achievement, and professional pursuits. Interested students must compose short essays discussing the dangers of teen drinking and driving and outlining methods that they, their families, and their communities can utilize to make a positive impact and save lives.

The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday, April 1. After the winning students are announced in May, the law firm members will join the students and their families for a celebratory dinner at Joye Law Firm.
