Clas Ohlson returns to central Fredrikstad, Norway
Clas Ohlson's new store in Værstetorvet shopping centre in Fredrikstad is now open. Clas Ohlson now once again has two stores in Fredrikstad.
"We’ve been in Fredrikstad for nearly 20 years, and we know that we are highly appreciated here. It’s very exciting to have two stores again and to be back in the city centre," says Rune Johansen, Country Operations Manager.
Clas Ohlson's previous store in central Fredrikstad closed in 2022 due to structural concerns in the building where it was located. Since then, Clas Ohlson has only had one store, at Østfoldhallene outside Fredrikstad. The new Clas Ohlson store is located in Værstetorvet shopping centre, which also had its grand opening today. The store has a sales area of 913 sqm.
"Our wide and affordable range is now easily accessible to everyone living in central Fredrikstad," says Rune Johansen, Country Operations Manager.
This store opening marks Clas Ohlson's fifth new store in Norway in the 2024 calendar year. In two weeks, Clas Ohlson will open its 100th store in the Norwegian market, at Alti Eikunda shopping center in Egersund, southwestern Norway.
Clas Ohlson now has 237 stores, with 101 in Sweden, 99 in Norway, and 37 in Finland.
