Clas Ohlson opened its first Compact Store, the retailer’s smaller store format, in Finland as the doors opened to the new store earlier today in Helsinki.

“We found a suitable store space for our new store format at an attractive location with high traffic of people. It will be easy for our customers to get to the new store and they will see that the store is filled with smart products and practical solutions, despite the somewhat smaller space than what the customers are used to,” says Sampo Päällysaho, country manager Finland at Clas Ohlson.

The new store in Helsinki is located in Columbus shopping centre in Nordsjö and has a retail space of approximately 475 square meters. The catchment area comprises about 85,000 inhabitants. Should the customer wish for something that isn’t available on the store shelves, it is easy and free of charge to order products from Clas Ohlson’s full range directly to the store.

With the new store in Helsinki, Clas Ohlson can offer customers an omni-channel experience with e-commerce and more than 200 stores in six markets.
