    Innovative MD pilot project launched at municipal wastewater treatment in Forchheim/Germany

    A pilot system for the energy efficient recovery of ammonia from municipal wastewater using membrane distillation (MD) technology was recently commissioned at the Abwasserzweckverband Breisgauer Bucht (AZV) in Forchheim/Germany. The partnership project named “Ammonium MD” is co-funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation and runs until June 2021. SolarSpring GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Industrial Solar Holding Europe AB, will receive a funding of 65 k€.Within the project “Ammonium MD”, the Freiburg-based company SolarSpring GmbH developed a novel membrane distillation pilot system

    Industrial Solar GmbH receives first payment from Horizon 2020 Project FRIENDSHIP

    Industrial Solar is one of the partners and beneficiaries of the European Horizon 2020 project 'FRIENDSHIP'. Today, Industrial Solar GmbH received the first tranche of 220.000 € of its total funding volume of 456.000 €.Solar heat is already used for Agro-Food industrial processes, mainly under 120°C. The FRIENDSHIP project  aims to demonstrate that solar heat can also be a reliable, user-friendly, high-quality and cost-effective resource to meet heat requirements for other industrial sectors such as Textile, Plastics, Wood, Metal and Chemistry.

    Industrial Solar GmbH proudly announces its membership in the Austria Solar industry association.On June 25th, 2020, the board of Austria Solar decided to admit Industrial Solar GmbH in their association.     Alliance for market introduction of solar process heat in Australia

    The companies Industrial Solar GmbH from Freiburg / Germany and Gasco Pty Ltd from Melbourne / Australia have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop the market for solar process heat systems for industrial applications. During January an extreme heatwave hit Australia and temperatures reached up to 50°C. All-time temperature records fell in many parts of Australia. At the same time Australia continues to have high per capita greenhouse gas emissions. Industry is responsible for one third of total final energy consumption, with the major share being used for process heating.
