Company adds award-winning software to product portfolio, establishes presence in NYC

Atlanta – January 31, 2011 — Client Profiles, a global provider of case management, financial management and CRM software to leading law firms, announced today that it has acquired New York-based Saga Inc. The acquisition adds the award-winning Saga Practice Manager software to Client Profiles’ product portfolio, and expands the company’s client roster through the addition of more than 430 law practices in metropolitan New York.

Saga Practice Manager was named Best Case Management Software by the New York Law Journal in 2010. The product is designed for the plaintiff marketplace and includes a fully integrated suite of case management modules, as well as document assembly, New York legal forms, jurisdictional rules and work flow to manage the day to day case activity for a personal injury practice.

“New York is the largest legal market in the world, and there are tremendous opportunities for us to expand our business there,” said Whit McIsaac, president and CEO of Client Profiles. “Acquiring Saga gives us a wonderful set of clients, a highly experienced staff, and the core technology to provide a solid foundation for our New York operations.  The Saga organization has extensive expertise in the New York market and a set of customized solutions that have long been recognized as best-in-class and are a natural extension of Profiles Legal Suite.  Now with a combined 45 years of experience working with law firms and well over 1,100 plaintiff firms as clients, we are positioned to support the New York legal market well into the future with exciting new products and content.”

“Saga has been the gold standard in case management software for negligence attorneys in New York for more than 20 years,” said Abraham Carmeli, president of Saga.  “A technology company must keep innovating to stay on top, and I believe that the companies with the greater resources to innovate will win the day.”  Carmeli says that the decision to go with Client Profiles was based on the fact that the Atlanta-based company has both the resources and the will to take Saga’s platform to the next level. “It was important to me to hand over the reins to the company that is best positioned to further develop the product and serve Saga’s client base,” said Carmeli.  “I believe that Client Profiles will do both exceptionally well, and I am confident that I leave the company in very good hands.”

With the acquisition of Saga, the Client Profiles business continues to gain expertise and strength in the case and management systems marketplace.  This Saga acquisition will help fuel the continued growth of the Client Profiles practice management business, which already includes more than 1,800 law firms worldwide.
