CoaLogix’ Appoints Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Technology Officer
Charlotte, NC. – July 30, 2012 – CoaLogix, the leading provider of SCR management and catalyst regeneration technologies for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems used by coal and gas-fired power plants to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions, today announced two high level additions to senior management. Jim Martin has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Dr. Nicholas Pollack has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Jim Martin will lead continued growth in the company’s service offerings, and will be responsible for the Sales and Marketing teams. Dr. Pollack will lead the technology team and focus on driving new product and process development efforts, further building upon the value we currently provide to our customers.
Mr. Martin was most recently with Dominion Resources as Senior Vice President responsible for Regulatory Affairs. Prior to that, he led construction of Dominion’s $5 billion portfolio of new generation and environmental projects as Senior Vice President. Previously, he held the position of Vice President with Dominion responsible for the acquisition and development of all generation. He was also Vice President of Technical Services responsible for engineering, outage planning and project management for Dominion. Prior to joining Dominion, he worked with Peabody Coal as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and LG&E as National Coal Marketing Executive. He received his Master of Engineering Administration from The George Washington University and his Bachelors of Science, Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Dr. Pollack was most recently with Calgon Carbon Corporation in the role of Director of Business Development primarily focused on developing and commercializing Calgon Carbon’s Mercury Sorbent Product line targeting coal-fired power plant emissions. Dr. Pollack led a wide range of initiatives at Calgon Carbon ranging from Process Engineering Design and Development to Manufacturing Process Development and Support. Dr. Pollack also has prior experience in coal research with the Department of Energy and refining/production with Exxon. Dr. Pollack received his PhD, Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
