CODFARMERS ENTER LONG TERM FEED AGREEMENT WITH BIOMAR AND DANAFEED

Today, Codfarmers ASA signed feed agreements with
both BioMar and Danafeed covering Codfarmers` feed
requirements until end 2009.

The agreements comprise an estimated total volume
of approx. 40.000 tons of feed and represent as
such the largest contracted volumes to date within
the cod farming industry. BioMar will supply
approx. 80 % and Danafeed approx. 20 % of the
volume in question.

`Feed is the main cost parameter and comprise
almost 50 % of our total production costs. It has
been important for us not necessarily to buy the
cheapest feed per kg. feed, but the most efficient
feed that produce most fish per NOK. Finding
partners willing to invest in R&D to develop an
effective feed specially adapted to farmed cod
together with us, has therefore been of paramount
importance when choosing suppliers`, says Øystein
