A conversational relay of love gone cold through miscommunication and misunderstandings marks the second release of Swedish songwriting duo Rallie & Coal.

Swedish songwriting duo Rallie & Coal, comprised of vocalist Maya Nalani Carlsson and guitarist and vocalist Fredrik Toremark, have today released their second single Cold To Me.

Cold To Me is a dark pop song that explores the feelings of a relationship gone cold. In a laid-back, melodic language, the song conveys the themes of miscommunication and relationship deterioration. Written and performed as a duet, it sees both sides of a relationship and how it has turned to poison over time.

"It likens a relationship to a seesaw," says lead singer Rallie. "You have your ups and downs, highs and lows, but have you ever tried keeping a seesaw balanced? It's a challenge, and after a while a bit boring. It's a catch twenty-two, much like a fragile relationship."

Guitarist and vocalist Coal, know to many as Fredrik Toremark from the 2014 season of Idol Sweden, describes the song as a conversational piece that he believes will put Rallie & Coal on the map as the duo they are.

"I think Rallie and I complement each other really well on so many levels. I loved writing this song with her and I will never get tired of performing it," says Coal. "That's the beauty of being a guy-girl duo."

Cold To Me was written by Rallie & Coal and produced by Beatrice Jaksch and Gabriel Pettersson. It is the first of many releases to come by this partnership.

Filled with heartfelt emotions and chilled tunes in a wonderfully produced package, Cold To Me by Rallie & Coal will be available from today on Spotify, Apple Music and other major music platforms.

Coffee Shop Studios is music studio based in central Stockholm with focus on providing young aspiring musicians with the tools available to grow in and with the industry.

Rallie & Coal are currently completing their second and final year at Musikmakarna in northern Sweden, and have already composed music with the likes of Benjamin Ingrosso, Ana Diaz and Petra Marklund. As part of their programme, the two spent the autumn of 2019 interning with Michel Zitron and John Martin, the duo behind Swedish House Mafia's "Don't you worry child", as well as Universal Music Group in Germany. In the spring of 2020, when corona quarantine made internships impossible, they took the opportunity to open their own music studio Coffee Shop Studios in central Stockholm.

To date, Rallie & Coal have written over a hundred new songs, of which Cold To Me is the second to be released.
