COLOPLAST EMPLOYEES CELEBRATE AWARDS AND PROMOTIONS

More than two dozen employees at the Coloplast distribution centre in Orton Southgate, Peterborough, are celebrating awards and promotions.

At an event to mark their successes, four staff were named as being promoted to supervisor and six were handed certificates for completing apprenticeships in warehousing and storage.

At the same event, three staff were congratulated on moving from bronze to silver level in the company’s skills matrix and another twelve were welcomed into the company on the bronze level, becoming Coloplast employees after working in the business as temporary staff.

Coloplast provides products that help people deal with medical problems that are often highly personal. The company’s distribution centre plays a vital role in ensuring that users get the right products, often tailored to fit their personal measurements, delivered on time.

The distribution skills matrix which the company has developed focuses on achieving the required standards of personal and professional behaviour and multi-skilling Coloplast’s warehouse operators. Staff are able to achieve each band within the matrix – bronze, silver and gold – by reaching specified performance criteria, skills and behaviours.

The matrix was launched last year and the current awards are the first results from the new system.

Coloplast business support director Myles Davies told the awards event in the distribution centre: “I am very proud to come here and help to celebrate the success of people who have been promoted through the matrix and those who have achieved apprenticeship awards.

“I have been delighted to be able to tell senior management colleagues over the past few days about the excellent performance that the distribution team is delivering. You should all be extremely proud of your achievements.”
